At Exterior Lighting, we use an innovative screw-mount system to install solar street lamps faster and more cost-effectively than traditional methods.
Fast, Precise Installation
We drill the screw directly into the ground, using an auger alignment system to ensure the shaft is vertical. It’s then a simple job to insert the pole, with the solar street lamp module already attached. We finish with covers around the base to hide sharp edges and improve appearance.
Our unique method eliminates the need for concrete footings, which means:

How we install a solar street lamp
An additional advantage of our installation process is its flexibility. If land usage changes and you need to reconfigure the lighting, it’s quick and straightforward. We can remove or relocate piles as required. And even if you’re excavating the entire site, you don’t have to deal with unwanted concrete footings.
Our screw mounts are approved as structurally certified to Australian standards for our poles and fittings. In rare circumstances, we may assess a site as high risk. One scenario is unstable substrate in a low-lying area which is also susceptible to severe flooding and unpredictable strong currents. We review all sites to assess risk and, where appropriate, recommend and install concrete footings to ensure a robust solution.
